The total bull run of CHANS (specially 4chan) was characterized by a period of expansion of posts, shills, and shitposting related to whatever the trending meme of the era was.
During the 2023-2024 bull run, this completely changed. We saw an absolute decline in memecoins posts and even real project posts, and some kind of GESTAPO enforcement by the main culprit, the JANITORS
4chan moderation policies have aggressively changed over time, starting as something more permissive and allowing a lot of fun, to transforming into worse than Twitter/X moderation, where you can't be an on-chain degen or simply someone who wants to share their thoughts about a random token.
After that decision, /biz/ has fallen into a depressive dead board that basically keeps threads alive for days or even months. In the past, or during the golden pandemic years of 2020-2021, maintaining a bumped post on /biz/ was a hard task.
This situation worsened after 4chan enforced their policy with almost obligatory email verification, with the only way to prevent it being paying $20 for a 4chan pass.
WHY CHANTOKEN?
There have been multiple attempts to achieve what I call the definitive 4chan shitcoin (like 4CH500 and 4-CHAN, to name a few examples), but their vision was only to be a pump and dump shitcoin rather than a real ecosystem and cult-like community that keeps everyone talking about the token forever (one of the basic examples in NFTs is the Milady Maker Community or the Bored Ape Yacht Club during the previous bull run).
We are making this to change the paradigm. As we continue to be 4chan /biz/ users, we are also planning to create a total alternative to 4chan, focused exclusively on business, finance, and, obviously, cryptocurrency.
The coin will serve as a memecoin/high-volume traded coin primarily for enthusiasts to ape into. When the final version of the CHAN Alternative is launched, it will function as the main currency of that site. Think about Dogecoin a few years ago, but well-executed and with actual utility within the website.
