Lumps of gold moulded into rings, coins and ingots have been highly prized for millennia. But recently, scientists have realised that tiny pieces of this precious metal – far too small to be seen by the naked eye - could also become a valued commodity. In labs around the world, gold nanoparticles are being tested as components in technology and medicines.
Nature is one of the world’s most prominent scientific journals, and they did an excellent documentary on nano gold. It shows gold could be used to kill cancer cells, improve the efficiency of solar cells and catalyze chemical reactions. However, seeing how Nature has hidden some of its scientific papers on nano gold, we are concerned that such information may not be available to general public on a perpetual basis. Hence, we are archiving it here on blockchain.
