Many people find it difficult to motivate themselves to learn new things. It is certain that motivation is not an innate talent, and it can be trained and specifically encouraged. In this essay, I will explain why motivation to learn is important and what strategy one should use to build and maintain motivation. Learning requires concentration and perseverance. You have to overcome frustration and boredom to learn new things. Motivated learners show perseverance, unlike unmotivated learners, so they are more creative in problem-solving and achieve better results. Motivation is a matter of ability. When learners are motivated, they absorb information faster and can apply what they have learned better. There is a difference between intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. Intrinsic motivation is learning something out of interest, which is strong and lasting. Extrinsic motivation is based on external incentives. In contrast, different learning methods keep the brain active. For example, watching videos, communicating with other learners, reading, etc. 5- Rewards motivate learners because they provide incentives. It's important to reward yourself consciously. 6- Recognizing a purpose is essential, for example, knowing the reason for learning. 7- Negative thoughts must be avoided. You should motivate yourself to make progress and be aware that mistakes allow you to learn quickly. Avoiding negative thoughts strengthens the joy of learning.
