We all have fears.
It’s not always necessary to run towards them. But it’s worse to run from them.
We do this, most of the time, by engaging in willful distraction (TV, social media, etc.)
But the best option may be to simply sit with the fear as if there are only 2 people in the room, looking at each other from opposite sides.
Staring the fear in the face gives us the chance to ask ourselves, “what is it, really, that I am afraid of?”
And when you do that, you start to realize that FEAR is a thief.
Fear steals our ability to appreciate what we have now out of concern for what MIGHT happen in the future.
