Oleksandr Panasyuk is a writer whose life took an unexpected turn. Born and raised in Ukraine, he now lives and creates in Spain. Having dedicated most of his life to the profession of a mechanic, skillfully working with metal and machinery, a serious illness brought dramatic changes to his life — and an unusual side effect: the need to express his thoughts on paper. After becoming disabled, Oleksandr suddenly discovered that a writer’s pen is also made of metal — just a different kind. Today, he is learning to wield words as confidently and precisely as he once handled a wrench. His works combine vivid life experience, imaginative storytelling, and deep philosophical reflection on the human condition in the age of technology. The novella “Terminal Confession” became Oleksandr Panasyuk’s first major work in this new role. Through the lens of autobiographical science fiction, he shares not only the story of his personal journey but also raises essential questions about human nature in the era of artificial intelligence and digital reality.
