Weekly Highlights

  1. Improved the registration and deregistration mechanism for TEE Workers, adding security checks for timestamps and expiration times during registration, and resolving issues with delayed clearing of registration information after deregistration.

  2. Upgraded the data transmission method between storage nodes and TEE Workers to streamline data transfer, reducing bandwidth wastage during data retransmission.

  3. Developed and tested the js-sdk Metamask wallet transfer tool, enabling the transfer of CESS tokens via Metamask, enhancing user accessibility to the CESS ecosystem.

  4. CESS’s exciting February activities kick off with the Co-builder Program Series, featuring campaigns, events, airdrops, incentives, and the CESS Mainnet!

  5. CESS was honored to partner with Planet Hares, Singular, Bihelix, and BubbleAI.

Project Development Details

The CESS testnet has been updated to v0.7.6 and consists of a consensus node and a storage node. Consensus Node maintains the world state of the CESS network (by CESS Node) and serves as the “data authentication station” (by TEE Worker). Storage Node provides verifiable storage space and serves as the “data storage pool” in the CESS network.

  1. Consensus Node [v0.7.6]
  • Enhanced the TEE Worker’s on-chain registration functionality, incorporating security checks for timestamps and expiration times.

  • Fixed the issue of delayed clearing of registration information on the chain after TEE Worker deregistration.

  • Completed the writing and testing of benchmark cases for each pallet in CESS Node 0.7.6.

2. Storage Node [v0.7.9]

  • Fixed the issue where storage nodes couldn’t be identified if the TEE Worker endpoint was inactive.

  • Resolved the issue where storage nodes couldn’t function properly after failing to obtain shared keys.

  • Upgraded the data transmission method from storage nodes to TEE Workers to streamlining, improving bandwidth resource utilization.

CESS is a blockchain powered decentralized storage and content delivery network (CDN) infrastructure for Web3. By utilizing a decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) model, CESS drives mass deployment of network nodes globally through incentives. The first of its kind, decentralized object storage services (DeOSS) by CESS has significantly contributed to the gradual enrichment and flourishing of the product ecosystem within the CESS network, online file sharing tool (DeShare), and public chain snapshot storage services have been incubated. The developments for this week are as follows:

Decentralized Object Storage Service (DeOSS)

  • Added the functionality to query TEE Worker endpoints in go-sdk.

  • Developed the js-sdk Metamask wallet transfer tool, enabling payments with CESS tokens via Metamask.

Blockchain Explorer (Substats):

  • Fixed overflow issues caused by excessively declared storage space in Substats browser.

CESS Website (cess.cloud)

  • Completed the development and launch of the CESS DAO Cloud Mining Program on the official website.

The miner reward event for the CESS testnet continued as storage and consensus miners can earn points by participating. The ongoing miner reward event in the CESS testnet incentivizes participation from storage and consensus miners, allowing them to earn points while contributing to the network’s growth and development.

  • CESS’s thrilling February activities commence with the launch of the Co-builder Program Series, which includes a diverse range of engaging initiatives such as campaigns, events, airdrops, incentives, and the highly anticipated unveiling of the CESS Mainnet! And the excitement continues as the activities unfold throughout the month.

  • CESS partnered with Planet Hares, a metaverse platform integrating games, fashion IP, original novels, virtual assets, motion capture technology, and AI digital humans. Also collaborated with Singular, the first cross-chain NFT lending protocol supporting multiple ecosystems like BTC and ETH, as well as Bihelix, a Bitcoin ecosystem infrastructure incorporating the RGB protocol and Lightning Network for optimized nodes. Additionally, we teamed up with BubbleAI, a signal+AI-driven trading aggregator.
