Quick Highlights of Season 7
Reform, Dissemination, Growth
The operational mechanism of LXDAO was further refined in Season 7, demonstrating its ability to identify issues and flexibly to adjust direction, as evidenced by the decision to dissolve the SteadyForce group and establish the Forge group.
In Season 6, LXDAO focused on key reforms within the SteadyForce group, aiming to improve organizational efficiency and community member participation.
In Season 7, after extensive community discussion and voting, the decision was made to dissolve the SteadyForce group due to its inability to meet initial goals. Concurrently, in order to continue advancing talent management and ensuring efficient project operations, LXDAO decided to establish the Forge group.
The Forge group’s objectives include identifying project ideas through forums, cultivating project talent and thought leadership, and facilitating project progression, thereby ensuring LXDAO’s projects remain efficient, fast, and reliable. Following the establishment of the Forge group, it attracted 3 fixed members and several pending members. Moreover, it spurred the formation of the LXDAO official website group and design group.

In Season 7, We achieved significant results in content creation and event organization.
We published a total of 62 articles covering various fields, including LXDAO shares, translations, online and offline event promotions, expert group research articles, strategic cooperation support, and more. Additionally, LXDAO entered into deep collaborations with two quality media outlets, expanding its audience reach.
In terms of events, we meticulously planned and successfully held 25 online events and 5 offline events, bringing a rich array of activities to the community. We also engaged in strategic cooperation with multiple ecosystems, aiding in their community building and hackathon project implementation.
On the ancient streets of Chiang Mai, Thailand, we expanded LXDAO’s influence by sharing content such as “The Beauty of DAO,” “Public Goods,” and “Influence Retrospective (OP),” attracting audiences from various countries including Thailand, North Korea, Russia, and Japan. This diverse participation provided us with a valuable opportunity to understand and absorb perspectives and experiences from different cultural and technical backgrounds.

Empowerment, Development, Co-creation
During Season 7, LXDAO actively promoted the establishment of Optimism Chinese Community, bring new momentum into Chinese public goods projects going global.

During the Optimism Season 5 Grants application process, the Optimism Chinese Community helped over 20 Chinese projects participate in the first round of applications by creating application guides and providing Q&A on Discord, with 7 projects successfully passing the selection. The deadline for the second round of applications is set for March 27, and the community will continue to provide comprehensive support for projects to receive more incentive from the OP ecosystem.

Outlook for Season 8
Continuously Focusing on Public Goods with Pure conscience
LX stands for “Liangxin,” the Chinese word for conscience, representing original intention and trust.
Web3 public goods include decentralized organizations, permissionless public blockchains, smart contracts, related codes, documents, knowledge, etc., characterized by non-exclusivity, non-competitiveness, and openness. These projects convert and accumulate value through token economics, transaction fees, influence, etc., achieving sustainability.
LXDAO, with research and development at its core, uses governance mechanisms, smart contracts, token economics, etc., aims to create a perpetual motion machine that supports Web3 public goods.
In the world of Web3, there are many unstable factors. LXDAO always adheres to its original intention, doing conscientious deeds, that is, continuously supporting the research and development of valuable Web3 public goods and open-source projects. This original intention aims to bring positive changes to the ecosystem and industry, establishing a trustworthy new world.
Actively Building International Influence
In Season 8, we will focus on increasing its influence, and we need objective and subjective measurements for it.
-
Objective aspects mainly refer to measurements through data and indicators, such as attention volume, social media data, etc.
-
Subjective aspects focus more on community members’ perception and evaluation of the organization.
-
And increasing influence requires the efforts of all groups.
Further Improving the Distribution Mechanism
The ideal distribution method should be public, transparent, and more automated. To achieve this, we will:
-
Automate many distribution tasks, such as event registration, etc.
-
Adjust the reward mechanism to provide more reward opportunities for open bounty positions.
Advancing the “Cyber-Socialism” Narrative
If there is one word could summarize LXDAO’s operating model, it would be “Cyber-Socialism.”
- Cyber-Socialism means openly transparent property, democratic and free decision-making mechanisms, and a fair salary system, emphasizing individual freedom and social equity to collaborate and achieve certain goals.
Building Emotional Connection
In LXDAO, emotional connection plays an important role. It can enhance team cohesion, promote effective communication and collaboration, and increase members’ participation and commitment. Ways to increase emotional connections include:
-
Holding meetings via video calls.
-
Initiating online activities aims at connection and relation.
-
Organizing offline gatherings, etc.
Conclusion
Thanks to every member of LXDAO. It is your participation and dedication that have enabled LXDAO to achieve its current success.
We look forward to LXDAO continuously exploring and innovating on the path of cyber-socialism, actively improving community culture and governance mechanisms, joining hands with more partners, and jointly promoting the development of Web3 public goods and the Optimism ecosystem!
