At the heart of my project lies a simple yet profound question: How can one create a sense of limitless exploration within a finite space?
Imagine you wander around Decentraland and quite unexpectedly, you stumble upon an exhibition quite unlike any other — here, cubes float with an air of enigma, each measuring precisely 12x12x12 meters. To the casual observer, these cubes might appear unremarkable, mere curiosities in a vast digital landscape. Yet, as you draw nearer, an astonishing transformation occurs. These geometric sentinels pivot, as though recognizing your presence, to unveil the artists’ names and a glimpse into the treasure trove of art concealed within their bounds. Sparked by curiosity and the promise of discovery, you step into a cube.
At first, the sensation was underwhelming, almost disappointingly so… “what is this?” What lay before you was nothing but an all-encompassing darkness, a void devoid of anything that might catch the eye or stir the heart. Yet, as you moved, a white, glowing line began to emerge, ascending from the ground. It climbed higher and higher, soaring upward until it halted just above your head, where it began to split, forking into two parallel lines. The shape that materialized before you was unmistakable, a portal crafted from pure light, standing in front of you in this dark empty space of nothingness.
Driven by an insatiable curiosity, you approached the luminous gateway. With a heart pounding in anticipation, you passed through the portal. What greeted you on the other side was nothing short of breathtaking.
As you cross the threshold, the portal behind you vanishes with the same mystical elegance with which it appeared, leaving you in solitude with the marvel that unfolds before your eyes. A ballet of luminously colored cubes materializes, performing a dance of lights and shadows in the air before you. They weave together in ever-changing patterns, shapes reminiscent of cubes, spheres, and spirals — a play that holds you captive in a spell of wonder.
Drawn irresistibly towards one of these floating cubes, you extend a hand, only for it to retreat with a playful defiance the moment your fingers nearly graze its surface.
Now you notice the music that fills the air transcends mere melody; it is a chorus of celestial beings, a harmony so pure and inviting that it beckons you deeper into the mystery. Each note, a whisper of the universe, encourages you to explore further, to lose yourself in this fantastical symphony of sight and sound.
And so, guided by this angelic serenade, you wander, until the ground itself begins to shimmer, heralding the ascent of another portal. Rising from the depths as if conjured by your very presence, it stands before you, a gateway to yet more wonders, an invitation to continue your journey into the unknown.
In the next room, you witness a new design taking shape among the cubes, floating freely in the endless space. Just as you’re about to understand what you’re seeing, a metallic voice from above greets you. It’s clear and direct, offering an explanation of the marvels unfolding before your eyes…
